Our 11 year old golden doodle Archie was literally on deaths doorstep. We tried everything food wise, he was constantly vomiting and losing weight. I would have to carry him upstairs every night for bed. We had to have the talk with our 12-year-old son Noah that his best buddy would soon be a memory, talk about tough, watching him try to handle the news like a big boy but buckling under the weight of his grief.

As a last-ditch attempt to stave off the inevitable we consulted our vet and gave up on his expensive diet and started lightly cooking fresh balanced omnivore-based meals with all the additional probiotics and nutrients advised to us by our vet. Long story short it's been 6 months not one vomit, weight back on and this dog not only comes upstairs on his own, he insists on jumping on our bed and sleeping on it every night like he used to do. He's back to chasing rabbits with our 5-year-old mini doodle, this led to my wife and I launching:
